Here are two websites where you can start an online store in the minimum amount of time. The first one, Tictail is free to use, works with major credit cards and Paypal, has unlimited bandwidth, is completely customizable and will look good even on a tablet or mobile device. It also has a growing App store with apps ranging in price from free to $20-00, and all products are promoted on Pinterest and Facebook. Click the pic to investigate further: The Second website, Storenvy, offers the same ease of creation and use, and is free. One difference is that you have your own 'storefront' like any other online store, and in addition you become a member of the Storenvy Marketplace - where shoppers can find products from all the Storenvy storefront owners. You can also upgrade to your own domain for $5-00 per month. Clic the Pic to find out more: |

Old Internetters and Bloggers probably know all about what WOT is, but for newer sites and surfers this may not be so obvious. Quite simply put, WOT is your Traffic Light of the Web. It lets you know at a glance the quality of the site you are about to visit in terms of:
TRUSTWORTHINESS VENDOR RELIABILITY PRIVACY CHILD SAFETY The ratings are color coded as follows: GREEN SHADES - Good to Excellent YELLOW - Unsatisfactory ORANGE & RED - POOR TO VERY POOR BLANK - As yet unknown The ratings are user ratings - which is why it is important to take the time to rate sites using the WOT tool. The WOT Sign is a ring at the top of your browser which changes color as you surf different websites. The Firefox Browser has the additional feature of a popup warning screen when you are about to visit a site with a REALY bad reputation on all counts. It takes between 3 to 5 minutes to download and install this feature - but it's really worth it and saves much crying and irritation later, when you have already picked up a virus or got into some other kind of trouble with untrustworthy vendors, and so on. Now, here's the thing: If you want visitor's to YOUR site to trust what you have to say and to trust the links that you provide to other sites, you need to have an easy way of checking those links - THAT'S WOT! WOT I am saying, is that it's not enough to have a site with a good reputation - CHECK YOUR LINKS (and sometimes even the links of the links)- and be well and happy WOTTING!
Some of us know some of them and some of us know all of them, but for those who aren't too sure, here is a list of a few that I have gathered. Add to the list, or correct me if you wish by leaving a comment below: omg - oh my goodness sup - what's up thx - thanks ty - thank you
It is not always easy to create a design that will stand out and attract attention. But when you are setting up a new project or business, or even launching a book, that is exactly what you need - to draw the eye to what you are offering - to get the public to notice. If you had access to more than 120 000 designers - do you think that one of them at least could come up with something breathtaking? I would think so. Head over to this site, where you'll find all the creativity that you need - at a price that you will definitely be able to afford - and before you decide, browse through examples of great designs already created: DesignWebsite
I was surprised upon visiting this website, to find out how many plants that we usually just discard as weeds, are actually edible, delicious and are either packed with vitamins and minerals or have a healing aspect. Here is an example, the Stinging Nettle. As well as being edible when cooked, grabbing the nettle and letting it sting you, actually helps with Arthritic pains (I have an amusing theory about this, but this has actually been tested). Click on the Pic and find out much more about this and other edible plants: Leave a comment and let us know which plants you have found that are edible and delicious:
Points are allotted for visiting or reviewing a website, and while you can only review up to five sites in a 24-hour period, you can visit up to 30 other sites and get points for the visiting. What do the points give you? The higher the number of points you have the higher your ranking on the link referral site listings, so you become more visible to other webmasters and thus receive for visitors. There is a great difference (as you know from Google) whether your page appears on page 1 or page 10 in the Link Referral search results.
There are also many forums that you can visit and get points for commenting, and of course you will have your site address appearing together with your very relevant comments – thus helping to generate for visitors to your site. This is very much a give and take situation in all respects. Register an account with Link Referral. You will be asked your site's name and a description of your site. You only have a certain number of words available, so choose your words carefully and get your message across. This is actually a very useful exercise for any webmaster to learn – describing something in as few words as possible while still delivering a clear message. Next you will be asked into which category you want to place your site – and here you have quite a few – like 'Home and community', 'Shopping'(with its sub-categories), 'Computers', etc. Here again, choose your category with care. Think, if you were searching for a site like yours, under which category would you expect to find it. While you can always change this later, it is best for quick results to get this right at the start. I was not getting as many visits as I expected at first, and changing my category listing made an amazing difference! You can also upgrade your site to paid member, which allows you to list your site on the front page, and in many other ways makes your site more visible and gives you additional tools to pull in visitors. This is very much a community site, some webmasters being members for years with lots of good advice to give. Others are total newbies – but what is nice is the real support and concern afforded to them by other members – really in the spirit of helping you to grow (which of course benefits everyone else). I would recommend giving this site a try – you won't be sorry: Link Referral bring those visitors streaming in.
